A brief John history lesson...

From a little corner of the crossroads of America, comes John Fister, here to prove that there truly is more than corn in Indiana.    Likened to John Mayer, Jason Mraz, and Jack Johnson, he aims to be the next J-name singer/songwriter on that short list.  John currently plays solo shows, but his soulful live performances lack no depth thanks to his use of looping to layer soaring vocals, beatboxing and his laid back acoustic style.

John's musical background runs the gamut from classical choral training to jazz saxophone, but once he picked up the guitar, the songwriter inside was born.  He has been involved with many other projects, including the Notre Dame Glee Club and the affiliated a cappella group "The Undertones," both of which toured worldwide.    After recording his 2009 album, "Never On Time," John embarked on a national tour with the album, covering over 12,000 miles in a rental van (with no oil change...oops!).  Since then, he has been playing local venues and writing new music, with plans to produce a sophomore album.  John has even had some outstanding collaborative opportunities, including singing backup for Josh Groban on his recent "All That Echoes" 2013 world tour.

Today he is working on expanding his presence, playing local festivals, and building a loyal fan base.  If you have any suggestions, gig opportunities, or good ideas for him outside of the local scene, get in contact with him by checking out the "Contact" link up above.  And if you would be so kind as to share your email address below, he will keep you updated on all new things John.  Thanks for stopping by!
